MEN'S RESULTS1. Jackson Kibet Limo, Kenya, 2.09,54 – the race record The Kenyan Jackson Kibet Limo is the absolute winner of the 2019 Copenhagen Marathon. With a time of 2:09,54, Limo realized his goal of breaking the course record. Despite the hamstring that threatened him from 25K to 32K, Limo managed to crush the race record, thus achieving the fastest time ever on the Danish soil and lowering the previous all-comers’ records. This is not Limo’s first marathon victory. The 31-year-old Kenyan already won Osaka 2013 and Porto 2017, but he considers yesterday’s win as the most important in his career. 2. Victor Kiplimo, Kenya, 2:11,04 The Kenyan Kiplimo was Copenhagen Marathon’s runner up this year. Kiplimo went through a close duel with the Ethiopian Yadete and managed to leave him behind after 29K. 3. Gebre Roba Yadete, Ethiopia, 2:11,58 The Ethiopian Yadete gained the marathon’s 3rd place, only 54 seconds after Kiplimo.
