It starts at home, and every contribution matters.

On May 28th, 2024, DANISH ENDURANCE® embarked on a new exiting chapter, dedicated to fostering biodiversity and reducing carbon emissions.

DANISH ENDURANCE® was founded in Denmark in 2013 at the family farm “Gramrodegaard” by the two brothers, Nicolaj Due and Ole Christoffer Due.

The DANISH ENDURANCE® team, featuring members from over of 25 different nationalities gathered for a day of planting trees to complete the first step of the GRAMRODE Forest Project.

Covering 12 hectares, the new DANISH ENDURANCE FOREST consists of more than 37,000 carefully selected trees. The forest will be complemented by the establishment of meadows and restoration of water streams.

This initiative aims to safeguard biodiversity and ecosystems for the benefit of future generations. Annually, an average of 110 tonnes CO2 will be captured over the next 100 years.

CEO & Founder Nicolaj Due:

"It has been a fantastic experience to be involved in planting the forest together with all our employees. A forest is something completely unique. It helps to address the climate crisis, for which we all bear responsibility. The forest will also protect the groundwater and promote biodiversity, which is under pressure in Denmark. Finally, there is nothing better than going for a walk in a forest where birds are singing.”

Founder Ole Christoffer Due:

"I am proud that we act and contribute locally and, in the place, where DANISH ENDURANCE® was founded. The fact that it is also on a farm that the family has owned for over a hundred years makes it even better.”

Three generations of the Due family participated in planting of the GRAMRODE FOREST alongside DANISH ENDURANCE® employees.

Nicolaj Due:

The main priority is that this forest gets off to a good start and becomes well established, since it will be here for generations. Going forward, it is clearly the ambition that there will be more DANISH ENDURANCE® forests. Great efforts are needed if we are to reverse the global climate crisis, this is just a small step, but it is an Important step for DANISH ENDURANCE and one of the corner stones in our Sustainability Strategy.”

The symbol of the “GRAMRODE FOREST” is the oak tree. Like DANISH ENDURANCE®the oak tree embodies strength, endurance, and resilience due to its strong roots and sturdy appearance.
